I’ve been in the gym for over 20 years, and my passion for fitness has only grown stronger. Strength and conditioning is the foundation of how I train. Combining heavy lifts with cardio and functional movement keeps me mentally engaged, and that energy gets passed down to every client I work with. I don’t just train bodies. I build confidence, consistency, and mindset.
My journey into fitness wasn’t easy. I was bullied as a kid and called “Thunder Thighs,” and that stuck with me. Eventually, I used that pain as fuel. I lost over 100 pounds, and I know firsthand what life feels like on both sides of the scale. That’s why I do what I do. To help others feel what it’s like to take control of their body, their health, and their mindset. I’m not just here to coach. I’m here to walk beside you through the process, because I’ve lived it myself.
My style is direct and all-in. I believe in real work and real results. I won’t sugarcoat things, but I will support you every step of the way. I care and get personally invested in your fitness journey as if it’s my own.I pay close attention to the little things. If I tell Jenny to eat an hour before class instead of two, I’ll follow up and see how it went. If Chris tweaks his squat stance, I want to know if his knee pain is better. That kind of attention is what makes UNITY different. We’re not just coaches. We care. Coach Clinton and I both started out as personal trainers before getting into group fitness, and that background brings a level of detail, structure, and quality that shows up in every class we teach.
When it comes to nutrition, I believe in being mindful, not perfect. I always say, “Don’t let your weekend become your weak-end.” Too many people stay strict Monday to Friday and completely let go on the weekends. Your goals don’t stop when the party starts, and if you want lasting results, you’ve got to stay consistent even when life gets social. Whether you're trying to lose fat, build muscle, or maintain a healthier lifestyle, it all comes down to habits and choices.
I’m certified through CanfitPro as a Personal Trainer, Youth Fitness Coach, and Healthy Eating Specialist. I’m also certified in CPR/AED through Red Cross and have completed leadership training that helps me work effectively with adults, youth, and teams. I coach group classes, personal training sessions, and youth athletic programs, and I bring the same intensity and accountability to every client, no matter their background or goal.
Outside the gym, I love traveling. I’ve been to over 20 countries so far, and I’m a huge NBA fan. I’ve seen the Raptors and Miami Heat live more times than I can count. My next goal is visiting another wonder of the world.
What I love most about our members at UNITY is their resilience. They show up, even after a bad day, even when they’ve slipped up, even when they don’t feel like it. And while we have an incredible coaching team, I truly believe they come for each other. That’s what makes this a real community.
